Red Chopstick

Know that huge, long building, i-avenue?

Red Chopstick1-1-5, i-avenue, Jalan Tun Dr. Awang, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Penang.

If you can't locate it with the address, look for something that looks like this :

(the picture above is clearly not mine)

Serves : Local, Chinese, Baba/Nyonya
I rate : 7 out of 10

I ordered their Tomato Fried Rice with Vegetable Po Piah (TR4) : RM8.90++ and my favourite dessert Peanut Tang Yuen in Ginger Soup (TYG2) : RM3.70++.

The tomato rice is fried till perfection with chopped salted duck eggs and herbs, spices in it. The po piah, on the other hand is fried and stuffed with bangkuangs, sengkuangs and carrot, all sliced. But it tasted a bit bland and raw, the vege po piah didn't come with any sauce at all.

The peanut tang yuen sounds a bit weird, doesn't it? They're actually huge, peanut stuffed tang yuens in ginger soup just like the normal seasonal tang yuen the Chinese usually eat. The price is quite reasonable, though. Three tang yuens in a bowl for around RM3.50. And it is so good! Yum... writing about it makes me even crave for it now.

For those who haven't tried Red Chopstick before : go go go! Just order anything that looks good on the menu.

For those who have gone to Red Chopstick but have never tried the TR4 or TYG2 : go try it the next time.

For those who have tried the TR4 or TYG2, you should try their Mo Mo Cha Cha. I'm not sure what it's coded as, though. My friend tried it and she highly recommends it. It looks good, anyway. :)
oh, and they actually make you use red chopsticks, hence the name of the place.

Safe Yogurt Recipe

Safe Yogurt

Recipe :

Ingredients :
Banana
Cookies
Natural, unflavoured yogurt

1. Slice your bananas and place them in the yogurt;
2. Mash the cookies and pour them onto the top
of the yogurt;
3. Serve cold! :)

lol.

I know no one really likes natural yogurt - so sour and disgusting but hey! They say natural yogurt's the most healthy one, without any food dye or fruits that have stayed there for a week! So to add a little flavor, why not add in your own fruits? And, you may add a dash of sweetness. I love cookies. (:

I've been caught several times by my aunt. She said, "If you're planning to be healthy with natural yogurt, what's the point of having chocolate cookies?" But it's all good. You still have the bananas to healthy you up. Bananas are good!
You may also try replacing your bananas with other fruits like strawberries, grapes, apples etc. They're still as good! :) I love yogurt.

And it's SAFE! Harmless. Try lah - you'll like it. :)

Station One :)

I tried the Station One's award winning Champion Lamb Chop today. And I must say, it tasted pretty champion-y.
Located up the North Zone in Queensbay Mall, Station One offers you a selection of cuisines - Malay, Chinese and even Western. Light snacks like chicken cheese balls, potato wedges and healthy salads are also part of the Station One menu to pamper yourself with a good meal.

2 huge juicy lamb meat covered in gravy, corn and potato wedges on the side and a bowl of coleslaw. Reasonable prices from RM20.90 nett. The Champion Lamb Chop is definitely a must-try. It made me want to have one bite after another, thanks to the gravy on it. Every bite was savory, man...haha.
